July 21st, 2012 I posted the below picture to Facebook with the caption “Bye Bye Statesboro….it’s been the best of times…it’s been the worst of times! Wouldn’t trade these memories for anything!!!” I had a skeleton of a plan and no job but was headed to Atlanta to chase my dreams. What that dream was? I had no clue but something told me I needed to get out of my comfort zone and see what I was made of.

If you would have told me when I snapped this photo what lay ahead, I would have thought you insane! The opportunities I have been given have been amazing; including the most recent. I couldn’t be more excited to announce I have been presented with the opportunity to move to Chicago.

Guess what – I took it! This southern lady is heading to the mid-west! I can’t wait to share my journey with you here on Southern in the City. Cheers to grabbing the bull by the horns and my new adventure in the 3rd largest city in the US!

so happy for you!! This is a wonderful opportunity for you and Eric. Just remember you can always make a change if you don’t like it,but at least you can say you tried it and not have to wonder what it would have been like. Blessings for a smooth transition!! Ms Jeannie
